Marzena Abrahamik

(b. Poland, grew up in Greece) lives and works in Chicago, IL. Abrahamik is visually inspired by personal histories, attachments to unachievable, deceiving and necessary for survival fantasies, to further investigate communal formations and transformations. Meticulously composed, with a focus on sensibility through light and gesture, the photographs question the operations that have historically defined the feminine as a social category.
