Feast

Artist Feature of Dawoon Kim

‘Feast’ is a body of work exploring themes of desire and visual consumption of everyday objects as these are represented in contemporary image culture. By creating scenes that are simultaneously seductive and disturbing, I attempt to break the illusion of glossy media images with which our society is obsessed.

Dawoon Kim

Dawoon Kim (b.1994, South Korea) lives and works in London and Seoul. Working across photography, sound, and video, Kim explores notions of identity, desire, and representation in the post-digital era. She obtained her MA from the Royal College of Art in 2019. Her work has been exhibited internationally, including Whitechapel Gallery, London; Hoxton Gallery, London; Valletta Contemporary, Malta; Hello museum, Seoul; and Galleri Nicolai Wallner, Copenhagen.
