Richmond Orlando Mensah

Guest Room aims to spark collaborations. That’s why Manju Journal founder and creative director Richmond Orlando Mensah is teaming up with his longtime friend and photographer Daniel Kons. He is a Lagos/Accra-based fashion and fine art photographer whose body of work captures everyday contemporary African life. He has amassed a diverse portfolio including works featured in renowned publications such as Vogue, L’Officiel USA, Nataal, Essence, Ebony as well as fashion brands like Studio 189.

Richmond Orlando Mensah and Daniel Kons are choosing the theme ‘REBIRTH’ for this month’s Guest Room.

Richmond Orlando Mensah

Richmond Orlando Mensah is the founder and creative director of the global African arts and culture platform Manju Journal that celebrates contemporary African fashion, photography, music, and society. His strong interests and passion for African creativity and emerging talents have led him to work with numerous publications and brands including Gucci, Studio 189, i-D magazine, Vogue Italia, Paper Journal Magazine, Nowness, ItsNiceThat, The Photographers' Gallery, London, and many more.

Daniel Okon is a Lagos/Accra-based fashion and fine art photographer whose body of work captures everyday contemporary African life. Deeply inspired by the divergent perspectives of the human life experience, places, people, silhouettes & natural light. He has amassed a diverse portfolio including works featured on platforms such as Vogue Runway, L’Officiel USA, Essence, Ebony, Dstngr, as well as fashion brands like Studio 189, Bohten and Tommy Hilfiger.
