Collections From the Sea

In November 2023, a friend invited me to his house in Essauira on the coast of Morocco to escape the cold Zurich winter and work on a project together.

The old port town with its tourists and picturesque buildings seems to have fallen out of an old book. On the way to my morning swim in the sea, I stumbled across the many structures, a mixture of washed-up garbage, algae and dead creatures. From then on I forgot about swimming and I collected the art objects spat out by the sea with my camera. A collection of found objects was created.
