I have been practicing photography for many years, and about six years ago, I began transitioning from taking photos to making images. This distinction has become central to my practice, allowing me to work more closely with archives, found images, and historical documents. This shift has expanded my process, enabling deeper engagement with historical images and offering new ways to reflect on the past, collective memory, and the political dimensions of imagery.
Recently, I’ve focused on building a personal archive, drawing from various sources and archives. It has become a daily practice to create images of people or moments I feel need to be preserved as if something essential is constantly slipping away. Through this ongoing work, I aim to preserve what I believe is significant before it disappears completely.
