    The world has recently lost a valuable person. David Lynch has left a deep impression on my visual development.

    I remember the first film I saw by him was “Eraserhead”, I was quite young and I couldn't understand how this oppressive feeling is such a brilliant way to evoke emotions.

    But now I understand and appreciate it.

    I have a series or rather a set of images that are not connected in any specific way, but they gather everyday oddities into a bunch. Without any motive, these pictures are created during everyday happy accidents.

    Krystyna Bilak

    Krystyna Bilak (b. 1993, Ukraine) is a Budapest-based visual artist, who works with photography. At the moment, she is interested in the directed viewpoint created with images and the features of image reading. In her pictures, she creates fictitious constructions and compositions that deceive the eyes and invite the viewer to decipher them. She plays around with tools of visual deception, for example, by creating a separate space and a new reality within the image via mimetic tools. Recently, she has been working a lot in the darkroom, experimenting with mixed color techniques to create unrepeatable images.
