Visual Inspiration

My visual inspiration for “The World of Hedonia” came from the duo CHRISTTO ANDREW. I was fascinated by their handling of color and light, and the painstaking work they put into each photograph as if it were a painting.

I borrowed some details from the bright, sticky and perverse art of Maisie Cousins. I admired the way she seamlessly combined glamorous beauty and disgusting decay in her work.

I was also impressed by the photographs of Marta Zgierska. I was drawn to the creepy atmosphere and disturbing content of her pieces of art, as well as the laconic visual style.
