“Ácido” is a photographic project based on the results of experimentation. The series focuses on the importance of morphology and colour by intervening images of the natural landscape and shoots from everyday life to generate an alternative narrative. I worked with 35mm negatives and old diapostives, some images were superimposed and overexposed with colour gelatine, and others directly intervened with several plastic materials.
The choice of materiality and technique came mainly from the concept of recycling film outtakes. I've been practising analogue photography for quite some time and I always tend to come back to my rejected images, the ones that didn't make the cut into the series.
