To celebrate our 15th Anniversary we put out an open call with the theme “Past & Present”, to which we received over 4,000 images. We then selected additional images from our extensive archive from the last 15 years to print and display alongside this new imagery for our anniversary event weekend in June at Pinakothek der Moderne in Munich. We invited the public to participate in “Contextualise”, an interactive display which encouraged viewers to rearrange the postcards to form new visual narratives. This artistic intervention was an homage to Der Greif’s long commitment to remix culture, allowing for a hands-on approach to image display methods and curation.
